The Chicago Sun-Times is the latest newspaper to join the growing Kindle world, offering up itself for a mere $8.99 per month for viewing on the portable electronic readers.
“Commuters already know that the Chicago Sun-Times is the most comprehensive source of news for readers on the go, and the explosive popularity of the Kindle and e-readers makes Kindle a natural partner for us,” John Barron, Chicago Sun-Times publisher, said in a statement. “The Sun-Times continues to explore new, innovative ways to deliver the news to our readers.”
The Sun-Times joins a growing group of Kindle newspapers that now tops 100, with The Washington Post and The New York Times among them. Not to mention book publishers who have reportedly put some 390,000 books on Kindle use.
