On the August 8 edition of his Newsradio 850 KOA show, “Gunny” Bob Newman said that U.S. Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA), who was defeated in an August 8 primary election, is a “psychotic, hate-mongering, racist, scum-sucking pig wench.” Newman added, "[T]hat's just how I feel about her." Referring to McKinney, Newman said: “You talk about a loose cannon.”

In making his comments, Newman referred mistakenly to McKinney as “Cynthia Lieberman.” As Newman noted, U.S. Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (CT) was also defeated in an August 8 Democratic primary by businessman Ned Lamont.

NEWMAN: We've covered a lot of topics here on the show, all sorts of things, and yes, I know, we had some Democratic primaries today. Joe Lieberman was defeated in Connecticut by another Democrat -- a hardcore left-wing Democrat -- and he was defeated by about four points, so he'll be now running this November as an Independent. Cynthia Lieberman [sic], the psychotic, hate-mongering, racist, scum-sucking pig wench who -- that's just how I feel about her -- she got creamed in Georgia. So, she's -- thank God, she's done. You talk about a loose cannon. But we're not going to talk about that stuff today. I just wanted to get you up to speed on the politics. Now you've had your little fix. OK, that's enough.
