A day after my report on Newsday's alleged giving into pressure from Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy, I came across a lengthy story in the weekly Long Island Press taking Newsday owner Cablevison to task for, as they put it, “Destroying Newsday.”

Meanwhile, Newsday put Levy on the front page today with a story titled: “Levy for Governor? How He Could Pull It Off.” Timing is everything.
