When WTAE-TV News in Pittsburgh ran an item about sunscreen Tuesday, it sparked what some believe was an offensive comment from one of the anchors, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
After a reporter finished her report on the summer subject, she tossed it back to co-anchors Wendy Bell and Andrew Stockey. Stockey, who is African-American, then offered further details on sunscreen information, prompting Bell to say: “I want whatever you're using.”

Bell has since posted an apology on the WTAE website: “The other night, I made an off-the-cuff comment to my co-anchor, Andrew Stockey, after one of our news stories. The words I said didn't come out the right way, and as such, offended some of you, which leaves me deeply troubled. I would never want to offend ANYONE, as my words clearly did. I hope you will accept my sincere apology.”
