RW blog attacks Journolist; can't count very well

This is rather comical. Conservative bloggers suddenly care about diversity? That's a first. But in their never-ending obsession with a defunct listserv where often liberal opinion writers expressed their liberal opinions in emails, the latest, and most feeble, line of attack is that Journolist members were so white!

From iOwnTheWorld.com [caps original]:

THIS LATTE PARTY SURE LOOKS EXCLUSIONARY. IT LOOKS NOTHING LIKE AMERICA. IT LOOKS MORE LIKE THE UPPER WEST SIDE OF MANHATTAN. WHAT DOES KEEF OLBERMANN [sic] THINK OF THIS MOSAIC?

Again, conservatives suddenly don't like political groups that are very white and allegedly very elite? This represents a sudden, and amusing, turn of events. But note that the site then posts photos of just over 100 people who were reportedly part of Journolist and concludes the group wasn't inclusive because (just look for yourself!) most of the members were white.

But of course, as reports have indicated Journolist was made of up approximately 400 members, which means iOwnTheWorld.com is missing about 300 members. In other words, the site made sweeping conclusions about Journolist's membership based on examining one-fourth of the listserv's participants.

Brilliant!

UPDATED: One of the people iOwnTheWorld claims was on Journolist, radio host and blogger Cenk Uygur, say he was never a member of the listserv. So how many other mistakes did iOwnTheWorld make when compiling its roster of supposed Journolist members? And when will iOwnTheWorld post a correction?

UPDATED: And BTW, iOwnTheWorld was one of the right-wing blogs that over the weekend fell for the loopy tale that Mexican gangs had invaded Texas.

Brilliant!

UPDATED: iOwnTheWorld has now posted photos of approximately 120 Journolist members. Only 280 to go!
