[CLIP BEGINS]
SEN. KAMALA HARRIS: So there's a big difference between equality and equity. Equality suggests, 'Oh everyone should get the same amount.' The problem with that, not everybody is starting out from the same place. So if we're all getting the same amount but you started out back there and I started out over here, we could get the same amount but you still gonna be that far back behind me.
[CLIP ENDS]
MARK LEVIN (HOST): Ok I don't know what kind of lingo that is that she's using but ok go ahead.
[CLIP BEGINS]
HARRIS: It's about giving people the resources and the support they need so that everyone can be on equal footing and then compete on equal footing. Equitable treatment means we all end up at the same place.
[CLIP ENDS]
LEVIN: So we all end up at the same place and we all start out at the same place. Does that sound like the human condition? We all start out at the same place and we all end up at the same place is that what you want America? You know what that's called? A concentration camp. You know what that's called? Mao's China. North Korea. Equality without liberty is totalitarianism.
