MARTHA MACCALLUM (ANCHOR): What about what he is saying? I mean —

JESSICA TARLOV (FOX CONTRIBUTOR): Oh —

MACCALLUM: Do you think most of the American public is wishing that those Tren de Aragua members on that plane had been turned around and brought back?

TARLOV: This is, and yesterday we were talking about it on The Five. And I said I'm just going to take the L on this. Because my argument, I've been doing two days of saying what about due process. Because there were people on that flight who are not gang members. And I was talking about — I was talking about Americans that have been detained like in Chicago and people are saying the direction of this policy is what I'm comfortable with. The only thing he is doing well on is immigration, he has a 55% approval rating.

BILL HEMMER (FOX ANCHOR): The thing on this though Lauren. Last word on this, too, by the way. We don't know how many were deported that flew in under the Biden app. We don't know if they walked across the border.

LAUREN TOMLINSON (GUEST): Right.

HEMMER: if they drove across the border —

TOMLINSON: Yeah

HEMMER: If they flew here. We don't know.

TOMLINSON: I think it's important to know that while not all of them may be gang members, the point is that we don't know that they're not gang members and there is — after 9/11.

HEMMER: But we do know they're illegal.

TOMLINSON: We do know that they are illegal. The point I was about to make was with the vetting system. After 9/11, we wanted to put in place strong vetting systems so we knew exactly who was coming into the country for security reasons. If they come in illegally we don't do those background checks right? We don't go through the normal process. So the fact that they are here and we don't know those things presents its own security risk, not to mention that there was indicators that they could be affiliated with this gang or they most likely were.
