TOM HOMAN (GUEST): And for all the people who say, “Well, mass deportation, what a terrible, racist thing to say.” No. On the end of a historic mass illegal immigration on the border where over 8 million people have been released in this country. Now you look at immigration court data over the last decade. It shows nearly 9 out of 10 people who claim asylum at the border end up with an order of removal because they simply don't qualify for asylum.

It’s asylum fraud is what it is, right? So when you have millions of people crossing the border illegally, which is a crime, and we give them due process — great due process, at great taxpayer expense. We — detention, transportation. I mean, we're detaining these people for less than 24 hours. We give them a free airline ticket to the city of their choice. They get a free hotel room, many times at $500 a night. They get three meals a day. They get free medical care.

At the end of that process, when a federal judge says, “No, you don't qualify. You have to go home.” We have no other option. We have to remove them. Because if we don't, what the hell are we doing? Shut down immigration court. It doesn't mean anything anymore. Take the Border Patrol off the border because there's no consequences. So we'll give you due process. We'll give you a day in court.

By the end of that due process, if you get ordered to remove, guess what? That's a part of due process too. You're going to be removed. So even though we're prioritizing public safety, trust, and national security threats, if you're in the country illegally, you got a problem. Sooner or later, we're going to be coming looking for you. And that has to be done because if we don't, we send a message to the whole world: “Enter the country illegally. Lose your case. Don't leave, and we're never going to make you leave.”
