On Imus in the Morning, Richard “Bo” Dietl decried the “influxitation [sic] of the Muslim Empire that's taking over Europe,” suggested the United States should “make a parking lot out of Damascus,” and claimed that “every Muslim family is told to have six to eight children.” Dietl added that Muslim fanatics are willing to “let two of them go get blown up because you always got six more.”
Dietl on Muslim “fanatics” fighting a “God war”: “When you have eight children, you can let two of 'em go get blown up because you always got six more”

Appearing on the July 24 edition of MSNBC's Imus in the Morning, Richard “Bo” Dietl, chairman and founder of private investigation firm Beau Dietl & Associates and a former detective with the New York City Police Department, discussed what he called the current “God war” in the Middle East. Dietl began by decrying the “influxitation [sic] of the Muslim Empire that's taking over Europe,” and repeated his claim that Muslims are seeking to reinstitute the Ottoman Empire. He later suggested the United States should “make a parking lot out of Damascus,” and that when Iran “send[s] planes over to help Syria,” the U.S. can “pop them out like popcorn.” Finally, asserting that “every Muslim family is told to have six to eight children,” Dietl added that Muslim fanatics are willing to “let two of them go get blown up because you always got six more.”
As Media Matters for America has noted, Dietl had previously asked viewers of the July 20 edition Fox's Your World With Neil Cavuto if they "[r]emember the Ottoman Empire 500 years ago?" because Muslims “want to overpopulize [sic]” Europe today. On the same program, he also made the claim that Muslim families are “told to have six to eight children” and stated that the United States could “go into Syria, into Damascus ... and make a parking lot out of that tomorrow.”
Contrasting his approach for dealing with the Israel-Hezbollah conflict with that of MSNBC military analyst and Congressional Medal of Honor winner Col. Jack Jacobs, who also appeared on Imus, Dietl stated: “I think I should bring my opinions out because I'm like a kind of street-fighting guy.”
From the July 24 edition of MSNBC's Imus in the Morning:
IMUS: Good morning, Mr. Dietl.
DIETL: Good morning, Don. How are you, sir?
IMUS: I'm fine, baby, how are you?
DIETL: Well, it's good to be here with Colonel Jacobs. I had him up in Rao's [restaurant in New York] the other night, and we were discussing the war. And, you know, he has some points here that I have to respect as a Congressional honor -- a Medal of Honor winner. But there are some other opinions that I got over here. And I think I should bring my opinions out cause I'm like a kind of street-fighting guy. What really lies here is 500 years ago the Ottoman Empire. Today, every Muslim family is told to have six to eight children. In Europe today, there are 12 million Muslims in France. There are 12 million from Turkey in Germany. It's a influxitation [sic] of the Muslim Empire that's taking over Europe. Now follow me on this one. Right now, we have --
IMUS: I'm gonna try to do that.
DIETL: Right now we have a problem --
IMUS: Let me take some more acid that I have left over from --
DIETL: Right now we have a problem, and the problem's coming right out of Syria. We should make a parking lot out of Damascus, because they have a pact together with Iran, with that other guy over there, the religious leader that steps upon woman's freedom, steps upon people freedom. They put a religious fanatic in charge of these countries, and they do not let people live in democracy and the freedoms that we all enjoy in America. What we should do is start them up, light them up, because then they'll send planes over to help Syria. And they have to fly over our no-fly zones, and we could pop them out like popcorn. And we could wipe them out because this is a war right now. In Iraq is a holy war going on right now, fighting these fundamentalists who want to see us dead. And the reality is, in America we have two children per family average. In Europe, it's 1.7 family members. Everybody thinks I'm nuts and I'm crazy when I'm talking about -- when you have eight children, you can let two of 'em go get blown up because you always got six more. And this, the fanatics -- not all Muslims -- but the fanatics feel as though they can afford to let go two children, they got six more.
IMUS: [heavy breathing]
DIETL: We have a holy war that's going on right now in Iraq and Iran, and I think what we gotta do right now put the line in the sand, and I think the colonel will go along with me, we gotta go in and level out this guy over here in Damascus. Cause the problem here is coming out of Syria. All those missiles, the poor Israeli boat that got blown up. What do you think blew it up?
IMUS [talking concurrently with Dietl]: Charles [McCord, Imus's news anchor], is he gonna keep talking? Call 911. Have security come in. Drive him out. Beat him to a pulp.
DIETL: The Hezbollah? These were Syrian crack missile troops that put that missile and blew that boat out of the water. Can it happen again? They got some live-wire missiles over there in Syria. We should let them know -- you know what? Do what we gotta do, level 'em out. What do you think, Colonel?
JACOBS: Well, I'm all for overwhelming combat power at all times, so --
[laughter]
JACOBS: I mean, there is a view that you ought to kill everybody and let God sort 'em out.
DIETL: No, no, no, no, no. This is a God war. This is a war, now they think, because you cannot live coexistently [sic] with these people, these fanatics are nuts. So, what they gotta do is they wanna try to wipe us out. What do you do in a fight? You take a guy out with a bat before he gets you with a bat, right? And what's happening right now is we got Syria.
IMUS: Take a breath. [laughter]
