New York Times Video On Anti-American Media in Pakistan

Great video at The New York Times on how Pakistan media is ramping up its anti-American reporting and allowing conspiracies against the U.S. to grow without U.S. government countering the trend.

“The Pakistani media boom is propelling anti-American conspiracy theories, with the Times Square bomb as the latest example,” the Times reports. “The United States is doing virtually nothing to counter the trend.”

A related Times article adds: “Conspiracy theory is a national sport in Pakistan, where the main players -- the United States, India and Israel -- change positions depending on the ebb and flow of history. Since 2001, the United States has taken center stage, looming so large in Pakistan's collective imagination that it sometimes seems to be responsible for everything that goes wrong here."
