CHUCK HOLTON (NRATV CORRESPONDENT): You know, the president has gotten a lot of pushback because he's put some of the blame for that on the Forest Service, but a large part of that is because of mismanagement there. My own dad was a fire chief out west when I was a kid, and that idea of not allowing fires to burn, not allowing some of that underbrush to get cleared out, really has caused this powder keg situation that has led to so many people losing their homes.        

GRANT STINCHFIELD (HOST): Chuck, you know, the media jumped on the president for blaming liberal management and in turn environmentalists. I talked to a lot of Californians, who do not see eye to eye with me on politics, but they too were aware and one quote was, the environmentalists went too far, to the point where it cost so many people in many respects their houses and in other respects their lives. There are Californians who agree with the president. You could argue about the timing of his comments, but it doesn’t take away from the fact that his comments were true.
