DAN BALL (HOST): There's an old clip that's been recirculating on social media. You may have seen it. It's from MSNBC. It dates back to early 2017, right after Donald J. Trump took the presidency.

Now, this is what's interesting: The co-host of Morning Joe — again you probably don't watch MSNBC, so you may not know these people — Joe Scarborough, former Republican congressman from Florida and his co-host, I think her name is Mika Brzezinski, so she's talking about Donald J. Trump and how he was using Twitter back then after he had just won the 2016 presidential bid, right? And then — I'm just going to let you watch this. But notice what she says, because she's being very honest here. She's telling people the quiet things that the media doesn't typically say out loud to the sheep, and I think you'll see why this clip is making a big comeback online, because it shows the relationship to what liberals in the media think about Twitter and Facebook and free speech. And if you compare what she's saying about Donald Trump and how he used Twitter back then to what Elon Musk is wanting to do now, which is to return the platform to free speech, and of course, that's not what the media wants. That's not what the left wants, because they want to control what you think. Listen to what she says.

(CLIP BEGINS)

JOE SCARBOROUGH (CO-HOST, MORNING JOE): He's doing — what are you so surprised about. He's doing exactly what he said he's going to do.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI (CO-HOST, MORNING JOE): Well, and I think that — the dangerous, you know, edges here are that he's trying to undermine the media, trying to make up his own facts, and it could be that while unemployment and the economy worsens, he could have undermined the messaging so much that he can actually control exactly what people think. And that is -- that is our job.

(CLIP ENDS)

BALL: Did you hear that last part? He could, in essence, control what people think, and that's our job, Mika says. I wish we could just put that on a loop, put it on every social media site, every piece of media that you can find — mainstream, sidestream, independent, I don't care. Just loop it. Play it nonstop for all 300 and — what are we up to now with the illegals, I don't even know anymore in this country — 335, 340 million? So every American could see it non-stop and realize what the media is doing and has done to this nation.

This is why you hear me — and you're probably sick and tired of me because you're like “he's a broken record" — say that what the mainstream media has done is treasonous, and we should take every single CEO that's allowed it, every single host, and put them in a military tribunal for treason to this nation, because they constantly have lied, and not just the last five years since Donald Trump ran for president, we know they lied about the Russian hoax and countless other things, but they've been lying, covering up, omitting facts to the American people for decades now, and you just heard one of them right there on video right now. And again, that clip is five years old, from 2017, saying the quiet things out loud: That's our job to control what people think. That's what she said.
