EMILY COMPAGNO (CO-HOST): I wouldn't expect anything less. And I want to highlight for a moment what was existing just a few days ago. You know as you mentioned, Secretary Rollins who had been talking about this, well she said “We were already living under a tariff regime, but it was won by Mexico, by Australia, by E.U." I mean and she pointed out the fact that for example, Mexico won't take our corn, Australia won't take our beef. The small but mighty country of Honduras takes more American pork than the entire European Union. So, when we hear earlier about the irresponsibility of rhetoric, I wholeheartedly believe that, and also I offer that it was more irresponsible that we lived under this cloak of obscurity, that the average American actually didn't realize how impaled our American ranchers, and farmers, and textile makers — any that are left — have been this whole time because they haven't been giving them the microphone. We have, and President Trump now has. And that is why, for example, American ranchers are applauding this new tariff situation.

To your point, it's a short-term pain that we are going through, but we are already seeing results. And I'll say this to conclude, that during President Biden's reign, I heard far more Americans talk about the absolute erosion of their 401(k)s, and that was long-term. This is not. This is a steadying of the markets as we adjust to an American-centered economy that we deserve and, that again, to quote the White House, it should be a privilege to enter into this economy. It shouldn't be an obvious, but the reality is that the impact for us will be positive if we just give it a minute.
