ED O'KEEFE (CORRESPONDENT): One way Biden is trying to turn the page, by raising concerns about Trump’s ties to Project 2025. Launched by the conservative Heritage Foundation, and include a 900 page blueprint to overhaul the federal government if Trump wins again. On the agenda, shutting down the education department, dropping FDA approval of abortion pills, and a mass deportation of undocumented immigrants.

...

Trump has distanced himself from the plan but dozens who worked for his administration are behind it and he openly encouraged their work two years ago.

NORAH O'DONNELL (HOST): CBS News Chief Election and Campaign correspondent Robert Costa is here with me to dig into further to that Project 2025 thing that Ed mentioned. So the blueprint, we have read through it, it describes repealing what it calls "LGBTQ+ equity policies" and shutting down climate change initiatives. This is a culture war. Is it a winning strategy?

ROBERT COSTA (GUEST): Inside the Trump campaign, my sources say they don’t want to be talking about Project 2025. In fact, Trump has disavowed it publicly. They believe it could scare voters in the suburbs of Philadelphia and other major cities. So, you are going to see at the upcoming Republican convention not talk about a sweeping conservative policy agenda, but some speeches by conservative celebrities and by what they're calling everyday Americans to try to break into the Democratic coalition.
