KEVIN ROBERTS (GUEST): The left has spent more money, as I said, attacking Project 2025 than we've put in putting it together. It makes sense if you're running a presidential campaign and this has become the boogeyman, even accounting for its mischaracterizations, that President Trump may, of course, want to say something like that. There are no hard feelings. But the key thing is this, Seb, the project has never suggested that any president, whether it's President Trump or some president in the future would adopt all of these options and it basically is a menu because it covers all of the policy areas that the conservative movement works on.

The project, although it's named about a specific year, is an apparatus for policy and personnel and governing that is not going away. And so we of course applaud President Trump for really personifying what conservatism is today, we reject the nonsense of never-trumpers like Jonah Goldberg and we're just going to continue go about our business, which is being focused on policies and being of service to whomever wants to use our policies and personnel, including President Trump.

...

You don't catch flack unless you're over the target and so to the left I just want to let them know that were going to continue to do our work focused on policies and ideas and the reason that they are so apoplectic about this, Seb, is because never before has the conservative movement been this unified around a governing agenda. Obviously, President Trump, our movement standard bearer is going to make the decisions on what those policy priorities are, who the people are in his administration, this project is in service to him and to future conservative presidents.

But the point is the left has been this organized and this unified for the last two generations and never before has the political right even attempted an undertaking the size and scope of Project 2025.
