Right-Wing Media Attacked Waters For Appearing At The Award Show And For Being Applauded

Gateway Pundit: “Hollywood Leftists Gave Idiot Leftist Maxine Waters A Standing Ovation.” Fringe right-wing blog The Gateway Pundit attacked “Hollywood leftists” who “gave idiot Maxine Waters a standing ovation” and called Waters “dumb as a brick.” From The Gateway Pundit:

Hollywood leftists gave idiot leftist Maxine Waters a standing ovation this past weekend at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards.

Waters, who is dumb as a brick and a leader in the Democrat Party, has called for President Trump’s impeachment several times since his inauguration because she doesn’t like him.

Waters also believes Russia invaded Korea and believes President Trump and Bill O’Reilly should be arrested for mean things they’ve said. [The Gateway Pundit, 5/8/17]

NY Post And The Weekly Standard’s John Podhoretz: “Repulsive MTV Tribute To Maxine Waters, Who Worships At The Feet Of Totalitarian Monsters.”

BizPac Review: “Who Better To Present An Award For A Ridiculous Category Than Someone Who Calls For The Impeachment Of A President Based On Nothing More Than The Fact That She Doesn’t Like Him?” In a post titled “Maxine Waters presents MTV Award in a ridiculously ironic category; gets standing ovation for cluelessness,” the right-wing news site BizPac Review wrote, “Who better to present an award for a ridiculous category than someone who calls for the impeachment of a president based on nothing more than the fact that she doesn’t like him?” From BizPac Review:

The far-left crowd gave a standing ovation to Waters, who was on hand to deliver an award for “Best Fight Against The System.”

Who better to present an award for a ridiculous category than someone who calls for the impeachment of a president based on nothing more than the fact that she doesn’t like him?

And is anyone more representative of fighting the system than a Congresswoman so ingrained in the system that she [h]as been in office for 26 years? [BizPac Review, 5/8/17]

RedState: “Possibly The Dumbest Democrat In Washington” Presenting An Award At MTV Awards. On May 5, RedState previewed Waters’ appearance at the award show, writing that she is “possibly the dumbest Democrat in Washington.” The post also attacked her age, writing, “somebody taught Nana how to tweet, so she’s getting more notice from the kids, apparently.” From RedState:

Oh, geez!

Possibly the dumbest Democrat in Washington (and there are several really battling it out), will be presenting an award on MTV’s next movie awards program.

Somebody taught Nana how to tweet, so she’s getting more notice from the kids, apparently.

Much of that social media support could be among MTV’s audience. Waters told ITK in March that her following on social media was made of up mostly millennials, saying, “They like it when I really confront Trump and talk about impeachment.”

Because, much like Waters, they have no clue what constitutes an impeachable offense. [RedState, 5/5/17]

Twitchy: “Liberal Hero Maxine Waters Received A Standing Ovation Tonight” For “Her ‘Courage.’” Twitchy wrote in scare quotes that Waters was applauded for “her ‘courage,’” adding, “this is why conservatives can’t stand Hollywood, example No. 1,458,389.” From Twitchy:

Liberal hero Maxine Waters received a standing ovation tonight at the MTV TV and Music Awards Show out in Los Angeles

Right-Wing Fake News Purveyors Also Attacked Waters

TruthFeed: Waters “Should Have Been Given An Award For ‘Idiot Of The Year.’" Fake news purveyor TruthFeed attacked the congresswoman by calling her “old" and “senile,” and added, “She should have been given an award for ‘idiot of the year.’" From TruthFeed:

Liberals are still trying to make old, senile Maxine Waters fresh and hip…

The latest desperate effort was having Maxine be a guest presenter at the 2017 MTV Movie and TV Awards.

Pretty much no one knew who the heck she was.

She should have been given an award for “idiot of the year” for thinking Russia invaded Korea instead of Crimea. [TruthFeed, 5/8/17; Media Matters, 12/14/16]
