As Russian autocrat Vladimir Putin wages a brutal war against Ukraine and its people, the Kremlin has made a point to single out Fox News for praise. Russian state media and government accounts have promoted commentary from the network and its personalities; a leaked memo even instructed such outlets that it was “essential” to feature programming by Fox host Tucker Carlson.
In an English-language interview on state-run outlet RT, Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov praised Fox News for proving an “alternative” perspective on the war.
Fox News advertisers and the cable companies who fund Fox News should take note.
