GOP front runner Donald Trump appeared on two of Fox News' highest rated primetime shows for nearly 30 minutes on December 3, when The O'Reilly Factor and Hannity gave him a platform to push blatantly false claims and right-wing talking points.
A Media Matters review found that Fox News prime time shows devoted just over 28 minutes to interviewing Trump on the evening of December 3, when Fox host Bill O'Reilly gave the GOP presidential hopeful the opportunity to defend his debunked claim that thousands of Muslim Americans celebrated after 9/11.
Both O'Reilly and Sean Hannity interviewed Trump during two segments of their shows. O'Reilly's interview lasted for eleven minutes, while Hannity gave Trump a 17 minute platform to discuss his strategy to attack ISIS.
Since announcing his run for the GOP nomination, Trump has dominated his fellow Republican contenders when it comes to airtime and appearances on Fox News. Trump has appeared on Fox over one hundred times, garnering over 21 hours of coverage since May. Trump's airtime on Fox is over twice as much as any other candidate, despite his inflammatory rhetoric toward Hispanics, African-Americans, and women, including comments attacking Fox host Meygn Kelly.
