SANDRA SMITH (CO-ANCHOR): Governor, thank you for coming on this morning. The moment everything changed, and [Sen.] Jeff Flake said, “I just knew we couldn't move forward without hitting the pause button,” and here we are. How did we get here today? 

JOHN SUNUNU (FORMER NEW HAMPSHIRE GOVERNOR): Well, it's just a continuation of the Democrats using and abusing Dr. [Christine Blasey] Ford. They did it when they leaked her letter. And after she had asked for confidentiality they did it when they moved her to adopt -- accept a lawyer that frankly, in my opinion, is working more for the Democrats than Dr. Ford. We saw at the testimony that Dr. Ford hadn't been told that -- or did not know that the committee was willing to come to her. They made a big deal out of fear of flying that didn't exist. All of this came through her lawyer so she has been used and abused. And this FBI investigation is a continuation of that, of the Democrats using and abusing her.
