Stephen Moore is a conservative economic commentator who has been on the Wall Street Journal editorial board, a Fox News contributor, and most recently a CNN commentator. He has also worked in a variety of conservative think tanks including the Heritage Foundation, the Cato Institute, and he co-founded the Club for Growth in 1999. He has also worked on Republican economic policy commissions and was one of Donald Trump’s top economic advisers for his 2016 presidential campaign. In March 2019, Trump announced he would nominate Moore to the Federal Reserve Board, but he withdrew from consideration in May 2019.
