After a phone call with Donald Trump, Steve Bannon opened his podcast with their “theory of the case” on how to overturn the 2020 election

New information from the House select January 6 committee investigating the insurrection revealed that then-President Donald Trump spoke with former aide Steve Bannon multiple times the day before the insurrection. After Bannon’s call with Trump on January 5, 2021, Bannon opened his podcast with their “theory of the case” on how to overturn the 2020 election. 

According to newly released presidential phone logs, Bannon spoke with Trump on the morning of January 5, 2021.

After his call with Trump, while opening his 10 a.m. broadcast, Bannon explained to his audience how to overturn the 2020 election results. 

During his opener, Bannon said, “The theory of the case is that there are a host of illegal elections that went across these six states by state legislators not doing their jobs. That’s going to be argued tomorrow in our nation’s capital in front of the House and Senate. Maybe a combo platter.”
