TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): On Monday, the Republican House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy of California, he admitted that his party too has no idea what's going on in this country. None. Here's what McCarthy wrote in a tweet. Quote, "12 Democrat incumbents lost their re-election to the House. Every one of them lost to a Republican woman, minority, and/or veteran. The Republican Party is stronger because of our diversity." End quote.
Nothing against diversity, but we need to find the person who decided that tweet was a good idea and fire him immediately. If the Republican Party becomes the party of identity, any identity, that party will fail and it will deserve to fail. The Republican Party at its core exists to defend the founding promise: life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness. And order is a prerequisite for all of those things. The Republicans that Kevin McCarthy was talking about who won because of their diversity, their great strength -- they understood that.
