Conspiracy theory filmmaker who was behind viral COVID misinformation film says he’s working with Tulsi Gabbard on a new movie

Gabbard is an honorary co-chair on Trump’s transition team

Mikki Willis, the director behind the 2020 coronavirus conspiracy theory video Plandemic, said that he will be collaborating with former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard on an upcoming movie “about the border.”

Gabbard is a former Democratic member of Congress and presidential candidate turned Fox News contributor, podcast host, and Trump supporter who has played a role in his 2024 presidential campaign and is co-chairing his transition team.

In addition to directing Plandemic, which spread misinformation about vaccines and COVID-19, Willis has been involved with QAnon figures and spoke at a rally in Washington, D.C., on January 6, 2021, saying he had just come from the Capitol. In 2021, Willis also said he was collaborating with Lara Logan, who was a Fox Nation host at the time.

During an October 12 X Space, Willis said, “Right now we’re making a movie with Tulsi Gabbard about the border.” Willis had also posted in September that he had become “part of Tulsi’s production team.” (During the X Space, Willis also said he is working on a movie project with Infowars’ Alex Jones.)

MIKKI WILLIS (PLANDEMIC DIRECTOR): And right now we’re making a movie with Tulsi Gabbard about the border. We’re doing a film with Alex Jones, which will be very important film. It’s going to shock people what it’s truly about and what it unveils.

We’re doing a film — ironically, you mentioned water. We're actually doing a film about the critically important value of water and how it can be restructured to give us greater health and better — and longevity.

So all these subjects that — we’re doing one on geoengineering, which is a big subject right now, after all these questionable hurricanes and weather events are taking place in a way that just even the professionals are saying, all I know is this is not natural. This is a one-in-a-bazillion chance of this occurring, so what’s up? And so, we’re making a film on that. And we’re very busy. I’ll just say that we’re very busy right now, and grateful to be so busy.
