PAUL RYAN: Normally, I do not comment on what's going on in the presidential election. I will take an exception today. This is not conservatism. What was proposed yesterday is not what this party stands for, and more importantly, it's not what this country stands for. Not only are there many Muslims serving in our armed forces, dying for this country, there are Muslims serving right here in the House working every day to uphold and to defend the Constitution. Some of our best and biggest allies in this struggle and fight against radical Islamic terror are Muslims.

LAURA INGRAHAM: Paul Ryan says this is not who we are. I have a question for Paul Ryan. Why didn't we hear from you after the San Bernardino attack? Why didn't you come out and make a comment about the administration, what it failed to do to keep us safe? Why didn't you come out when Disney summarily dismissed all of its workers, hundreds of people working in IT, when they were replaced by foreign workers? Was that something that merited any comment? Is that who we are as a country? “That's not who we are.” Well what -- is mass migration at a time where working people can't find decent-paying jobs, is that who we are? “That's not who we are.” This sanctimony, really, is tiresome here. If he's not going to comment on the presidential race, don't comment on the presidential race. But of course, you see, they smell blood in the water. This is all like sharks circling the chum is in the water and all of them are going to be feeding now on this. They're all feeding. “This is not who we are.” Is this who we are? Look at the face of Tashfeen Malik. Is that who we are? We allow people into this country on visas who get on Facebook and swear their allegiance to ISIS, is that who we are?
