Fox Reporter Says Obama's Message Of Unity To The Muslim Community Is “Overshadowed” By Terrorism From “Followers Of Islam”

Fox News White House Corespondent Kevin Corke criticized President Obama for his February 3 remarks at the Islamic Society of Baltimore. The remarks were given during President Obama's first visit to a mosque in the United States as president. President Obama was introduced by Sabah Muktar, who called the president's visit an “assurance” for young Muslims who are “constantly bombarded by anti-Islamic rhetoric ... portrayed on the media.” During his speech, President Obama emphasized unity and embracing American-Muslims as a part of “one American family.” Corke attacked the speech, claiming the message of inclusiveness for American-Muslims has been overshadowed by the acts of “followers of Islam.” From the February 3 edition of Fox News' Special Report with Bret Baier:

KEVIN CORKE: A veiled reference, perhaps, to GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump who has called for a temporary halt to Muslim refugee migration until, quote, we know for sure who they are. But critics accuse the president of playing politics.

CORKE: Indeed, the president's message has been largely overshadowed by the many acts of self-proclaimed followers of Islam, from the September 11th attacks, and recent assaults on Paris, from the murders in San Bernardino, to ISIS, which has brought terror the world over.
