Fox's Varney Uses Brussels Terror Attacks To Criticize Hillary Clinton For Condemning Bigotry

Following the March 22 terror attacks in Brussels, Fox Business host Stuart Varney criticized Hillary Clinton for condemning religious and racial bigotry in her March 21 speech to AIPAC. Clinton, referring in part to Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump's proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States, said, “If you see bigotry, oppose it.” Varney argued, “I don't think she looks that good” for saying “she opposes religious bigotry” when “Twelve hours later, you get this horrendous attack in Europe.” Discredited journalist Ed Klein agreed, adding that “that this plays into Donald [Trump]'s effort to present himself as the strong man.” From the March 22 edition of Fox Business' Varney & Co.:

STUART VARNEY (HOST): I think we've got the soundbite from Hillary Clinton speaking yesterday at the AIPAC conference, where she's addressing the idea of religious bigotry. I'd like to roll that, please, and get Ed's reaction, because this was a statement from Hillary Clinton literally 12 hours before the Islamic attack in -- the Islamist attack in Brussels this morning. Roll Hillary's tape please.

CLINTON: If you see bigotry, oppose it. If you see violence, condemn it. If you see a bully, stand up to him.

VARNEY: Ed, she said she opposes religious bigotry, the imposition of a ban on -- a temporary ban on Muslims coming into America. Twelve hours later, you get this horrendous attack in Europe.

ED KLEIN: Exactly.

VARNEY: I don't think she looks that good.

KLEIN: No she doesn't. She does not look good at all. In fact, I would say that this plays into Donald [Trump]'s effort to present himself as the strong man. That he's going to get things done, going to close mosques here in the United States, he's going to stop immigration from Muslims, he's going to wipe-out ISIS. She doesn't say any of these things. I think this is definitely a tipping point in this race.
