MSNBC’s Scarborough Slams Trump’s Position On Russia: “The Case Is Growing Against Donald Trump”

Joe Scarborough: “He's Been An Apologist For Vladimir Putin For A Very Long Time”

From the July 27 edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe:

JOE SCARBOROUGH (CO-HOST): You add Paul Manafort to this equation, too, and talk about Paul Manafort's connections and possible connections with Russia. Suddenly you have the Republican nominee and the person running his campaign looking extraordinarily close to a nation that Mitt Romney correctly said, to jeers and ridicule four years ago, was actually one of the greatest geopolitical threats to the United States.

[...]

SCARBOROUGH: Donald Trump came on our show, Willie, our show several months back, and actually, when I brought up the fact that Vladimir Putin assassinated journalists and reporters --

MIKA BRZEZINSKI (CO-HOST): This is very serious.

SCARBOROUGH: His response was, well, we kill people here in the United States, too. He's a strong leader. He's been an apologist for Vladimir Putin for a very long time. There's been a disturbing trend for a very long time about it. He has disregarded what Vladimir Putin has done in the Ukraine. He's disregarded what NATO's historical role has been since 1947, post war. He's basically said, You wanna invade countries on the border? That's fine, if they haven't paid up, we don't have a responsibility. I mean the case is growing against Donald Trump.
