STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): Yesterday, we finally got an idea of what the Trump administration is going to look like because he named Reince Priebus, the RNC head, as his chief of staff. Screen right and he's a rightie guy. You've got Steve Bannon, the guy who had been running Breitbart. Now he's going to be Mr. Trump's chief strategist.
AINSLEY EARHARDT (CO-HOST): Yeah, totally different. So, Jason Miller who works with Trump's campaign, he had a good point. He said both of these guys come from different backgrounds. You have Reince, who's establishment, who's very good friends with Scott Walker and the guys in Wisconsin, Paul Ryan, and he could maybe connect -- the two of them can connect because Steve Bannon is anti-establishment. He's made that very clear.
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): The one thing I always do is flip around after a major announcement. And I was amazed at the negativity towards Steve Bannon. But if you look at what he's accomplished, and his role as one of the key guys, maybe the general of Donald Trump's staff that led to this improbable victory on Election Day. He was the one who say hey, Donald go over to Mexico, meet with leader. It's a good move. He did. That was a brilliant move. He was the one who could get into Donald Trump and say listen, you've got to stop tweeting about this. He was the strength there, one of the few people to stand up and to really give advice to Donald Trump that he listened to maybe more than anybody else. Together, him and Reince Priebus were extremely effective, along with Kellyanne Conway, in putting together this run. Which makes me wonder, why is everyone going out, pointing out the -- they're labeling him an alt-right candidate, this is going to be terrible, this is going to be awful?
EARHARDT: Because he worked for Breitbart. He worked for Breitbart, it's mainstream media, what do you expect?
KILMEADE: I did expect more. Because for four months he proved what he could do.
DOOCY: Right. Surely. But the mainstream media is going to say what the mainstream media's going to do. Look, this is a brilliant pairing. It's a preview of what the administration is going to look like. You got an insider. You've got an outsider. It's exactly what Donald Trump had promised.
