Fox contributor Nigel Farage, the former leader of the U.K. Independence Party, was reported to be a person of interest in the FBI’s probe of possible collusion between President Donald Trump’s campaign and Russia. Less than an hour after he appeared on Fox News to bash Hillary Clinton and comment on upcoming elections in the UK, The Guardian reported that Farage “has raised the interest of FBI investigators because of his relationships with individuals connected to both the Trump campaign and Julian Assange, the WikiLeaks founder whom Farage visited in March.” The Guardian also reported that the FBI took interest in “Farage’s links with Roger Stone,” who himself is under investigation for possible ties to Russia.
Previously, Fox ignored Farage's March 9 trip to the Ecuadorian embassy in London, where Assange has been living since 2012. Farage refused to explain why he visited the embassy and whether he spoke to Assange during the visit.
