From the August 29 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends:
BRIAN KILMEADE (CO-HOST): And just to show there is work to be done, there’s another study out, I know it caught your attention too, that 40 percent of American families struggle to meet at least one basic need like food, clothing, skipping a meal. That bothers me.
STUART VARNEY (FOX BUSINESS HOST): And medical. OK. Well, consider this: 40 percent of Americans say that they struggled to meet one basic need at least once in the past year. Struggled. They talk about food insecurity. If you struggle to put one meal on the table, then you are part of the 40 percent. What's the word “struggle” really mean? We've all had a little tightness in the wallet every now and again, what does “struggle” actually mean? And another thing that people that had a hard time meeting is their medical bills. Do you want to blame Obamacare for that? We were supposed to have lower medical costs but we got higher medical costs.
