ROSE TENNENT: On Sunday, there was a letter that was published and written by 11 members of a group called “Bend the Arc,” and that they have a Pittsburgh affiliate right here, and they sent a letter to the president, just blaming him.
They said that “You yourself called the murderer evil, but yesterday's violence is a direct culmination of your influence,” and they said “you're -- the past three years, your words and your policies have embodied this and emboldened this.”
And -- but, you know what, Sean? What's interesting is I had so many messages and phone calls from my listeners today. They pretty much agree, first of all, that Bend the Arc, just so your listeners know, is not representative of the Pittsburgh Jewish community.
They do not speak for them, that is what many of my listeners said. These people are -- they are an obscure left-wing group, very progressive Jews, and they don't speak for the Jewish community here in Pittsburgh, I've been told by many this morning.
...
DAVID SCHOEN: Very important point, by the way, I wish they were obscure. Peter Beinart is a member of that group. That's an Israel-basher and hater from start to finish.
Reportedly, George Soros' grandson is a member of the group. They purport to speak to this -- for this wonderful Pittsburgh community, I have been to the Tree of Life Schul, I was a guest of the rabbi there for a Bat Mitzvah, it's a wonderful place, they're not haters, they're not people who want to politicize anything.
