The Wall Street Journal takes another step into web-only offerings with a new weekly event, dubbed “The Big Interview.”
An announcement declares it as “a weekly online video series showcasing influential executives, policy makers, newsmakers and opinion leaders in one-on-one interviews hosted by senior reporters and editors from The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch.”
The premiere episode features an interview with FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair and Journal economics editor David Wessel, “during which she discusses the financial-regulatory legislation pending in Congress, the current health of the banking business and what it's like to be the sole woman among a band of powerful men”
Next week: White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel will be interviewed by the Journal's Washington executive editor Gerald Seib.
