The Washington Post reports:
But relieving McChrystal of his command on the eve of a major offensive in Kandahar, which White House and Pentagon officials have said is the most critical of the war, would be a major blow to the war effort, said military experts.
Notice the wording: “military experts” -- not “some military experts,” or “a few military experts,” just “military experts” -- say firing McChrystal would be a “major blow to the war effort.” That phrasing makes it sound as though military experts are unanimous in this view. And that's a phrasing the Post repeated in its front-page teaser for the article:
Would you like to know how many “military experts” the Washington Post article quoted saying anything like the sentiment the post ascribed to all military experts?
