Savage still blaming Media Matters for ban on entering U.K.

WorldNetDaily is reporting that the “new Conservative Party-led government of Prime Minister David Cameron” has informed Michael Savage (née Weiner), the Number 3 radio host in America, that he remains banned from entering the United Kingdom “unless he repudiates statements made on his broadcasts that were deemed a threat to public security.”

The report continues:

The U.K. Border Agency told Savage through a letter from the treasury solicitor's office that his “exclusion” from the U.K. that began last year under the Labour Party government of Gordon Brown will continue “in the absence of clear, convincing and public evidence” that he has “repudiated his previous statements.”

Of course it wasn't too far into the story before Savage throws in a Nazi reference and blames Media Matters for his predicament:

“The 'new' British government continues 'the big lie' initiated by the previous British government, all based on extracts of radio programs over many years edited by Soros-backed Media Matters to slander me,” he told WND.

As Media Matters noted in May 2009 just after the ban on his entry to the U.K. was announced:

During the May 5 edition of his nationally syndicated radio show, responding to the British Home Office's decision to ban him from entering the United Kingdom for “stirring-up hatred” -- specifically, “engaging in unacceptable behaviour by seeking to provoke others to serious criminal acts and fostering hatred which might lead to inter-community violence” -- Michael Savage claimed that “I am going to sue” Home Office Secretary Jacqui Smith. Later, Savage stated: “This lunatic Jacqui Smith, in my opinion, has defamed me, and if possible, I will sue her personally.” Savage himself has a history of calling for the deportation or banning of individuals and groups from the United States.
