A fringe and racist South Carolina newsletter endorsed Donald Trump ahead of the state's Republican presidential primary.
As Mother Jones reporter Tim Murphy wrote, someone left copies of The Conservative Action Report “on the windshields of cars parked outside” a venue where Sen. Ted Cruz was speaking. The newsletter, which defends the “Confederate South,” endorses Trump for his immigration stances and carries such racially-incendiary stories as “Is Barack Obama a Muslim?” and “Blacks and the Confederacy--the story the leftist mass media will never tell.”
Numerous white nationalists have been supporting Trump's campaign, especially over his anti-immigrant rhetoric. His candidacy has spurred “unprecedented interest in” white nationalism and put their ideas “firmly in the mainstream.”
