Anti-Muslim commentator Laura Loomer has characteristically made bigoted remarks during the Israel-Hamas war, including recently calling for Republicans to investigate and arrest a senior government official who is Palestinian American and saying that “if you want to serve in the federal government, you should be born in this country.” When Rumble announced it was launching a show with Loomer, CEO Chris Pavlovski said that he was “super excited” to have her in its lineup.

Loomer is a far-right extremist who has described herself as a “proud Islamophobe,” “anti-Islam,” and “pro-white nationalism.” She has also stated that she never wants “another Muslim entering this country EVER AGAIN,” and asked, “How many more people need to die before everyone agrees that Islam is cancer & we should never let another Muslim into the civilized world?” Loomer is an ally and “great” friend of virulent antisemite and Holocaust denier Nick Fuentes, who is also on Rumble.   

Former President Donald Trump reportedly wanted to hire Loomer for his current presidential campaign but didn’t go through with it. Still, he has repeatedly hailed Loomer, as recently as last week. Donald Trump Jr. recently said he wants to see her as the White House press secretary, a job that Loomer said she would “gladly” accept. 

Loomer joined Rumble as an exclusive host last month and has since hosted people like disgraced Rep. George Santos (R-NY); Trump campaign adviser Jason Miller; Colorado Republican Party chair Dave Williams; and Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy. Media Matters has documented that Rumble personalities  have used the Israel and Hamas war to spread antisemitic, anti-Muslim, and anti-immigrant rhetoric.

Loomer’s remarks about the war have been characterized by her usual vitriol. She wrote on Telegram: “For the sake of humanity and what is righteous and good in the war on evil, Israel must level GAZA, flatten it into a parking lot, and then glass it. … Their entire existence revolves around hating and killing Jews. There is no peace with these people.” 

She has also pushed bigotry on her Rumble-exclusive show. She recently complained that a Palestinian American was working on the National Security Council, stating of White House senior official Maher Bitar: “Where is the House Republicans? Maybe they should be calling for the impeachment and the removal of Maher Bitar. Do you think it's wise to have a Palestinian in charge of our intel? Do you think that it's acceptable to have a hostile Muslim in charge of our intel in this country? Absolutely not. And I don’t give a shit if that offends anybody.” 

She went even further during a November 12 interview posted on Rumble with right-wing conspiracy theorist L. Todd Wood, saying that there’s a “Muslim Palestinian jihadist by the name of Maher Bitar” and House Republicans should be calling for his “immediate arrest” and claiming that the country has been “sabotaged by Islamic infiltrators in our government, specifically Maher Bitar.” 

Loomer has similarly said that she doesn’t want people who weren’t born in the United States to work for the government. During a discussion about Muslim-Americans, in a segment first documented by the blog Angry White Men, Loomer said: “First of all, I don't even think it's acceptable for immigrants, people who weren't born in this country to serve in Congress. The same rules should apply as for the presidency where you have to be born in this country. If you want to serve in the federal government, you should be born in this country.” She added that Muslims in America are given a “free pass” to “completely defile our traditions as a country.” 

Former Trump Interior secretary and Rep. Ryan Zinke (R-MT) recently introduced a bill calling for the country to “Expel Palestinians from the United States.”
