Taranto questioned Dems' patriotism twice; then declared, "[I]t's presumptuous to question anyone's patriotism"

Wall Street Journal OpinionJournal.com editor James Taranto has questioned Democrats' patriotism twice in recent months, as Media Matters for America has twice documented. Yet in his June 21 "Best of the Web" column, Taranto declared that to question anyone's patriotism would be “presumptuous.” Taranto wrote, “Certainly there's nothing unpatriotic about criticizing your government or its policies. And since love of country is a matter of the heart, it's presumptuous to question anyone's patriotism.”
