Right-Wing Media Lash Out After President Obama's G20 Speech: “Barack Obama Is An Enabler Of Evil”

Right-wing media figures lashed out at President Obama after he delivered a speech condemning the November 13 terrorist attacks in Paris at the G20 summit in Turkey, calling him “a petulant, hyper-partisan community organizer” and “an enabler of evil” among other things.

President Obama Characterized ISIS As “The Face Of Evil” At G20 Summit

President Obama At G20 Summit: “ISIS Is The Face Of Evil.” During a speech at the G20 summit in Antalya, Turkey on November 16, President Obama spoke about the recent terror attacks in Paris and expressed his commitment to “destroy” the “barbaric organization” ISIS, which claimed responsibility for the Paris attacks and has been linked to dozens of other acts of terrorism around the globe:

President Obama on Monday stressed solidarity with the French people after deadly attacks rocked that nation.

“ISIS is the face of evil,” Obama said at the conclusion of the G20 summit in Antalya,Turkey. “Our goal is to destroy this barbaric organization.”

Obama underscored that the wave of terror attacks in Paris and the fight against ISIS necessitate that the two nations work more closely together to share intelligence -- efforts that are currently underway.

“Paris is not alone,” Obama said highlighting attacks in Beirut, Turkey and Iraq.

Obama also pushed back against the assertion that his administration's policy in Syria is problem-plagued.

“We play into the ISIL narrative when we act as if they are a state and we use routine tactics used to fight a state that is not a state,” Obama said using the alternative name for the terrorist group. “That's not what is going on here. These are killers with fantasies of glory.” [NBC News, 11/16/15]

Fox Contributor Tammy Bruce: President Obama “Told The World They're On Their Own, & The Enemy They Have Nothing To Fear.” Fox News contributor and Washington Times columnist Tammy Bruce asserted that the president's speech at the G20 summit “told the world they're on their own, & the enemy they have nothing to fear”:

Fox's Katie Pavlich Bemoaned The President's Caution That “The Islamic State Is Not Islamic.” Fox News contributor Katie Pavlich complained about President Obama's clarification that ISIS does not represent the entire religion of Islam:

HotAir's Allahpundit Reacts To President Obama's G20 Speech: “This Guy Has Totally, Palpably Checked Out.” Conservative HotAir blogger Allahpundit suggested that President Obama's G20 remarks were evidence that he has “checked out” on his presidency:

Fox's Guy Benson: “That's What You Get When You Elect A Petulant, Hyper-Partisan Community Organizer As Commander-In-Chief.”  Fox News contributor and Townhall.com political editor Guy Benson reacted to President Obama's speech at the G20 summit by characterizing the president as “a petulant, hyper-partisan community organizer”:

Fox's Eric Bolling: “I Pray Nothing Happens Before We Can Replace This Peacenik With A Commander In Chief.” Fox News host Eric Bolling suggested that there might be American casualties as a result of President Obama's anti-ISIS strategy before voters “can replace this Peacenik with a Commander In Chief”:

Fox Host Bill Hemmer: “President Obama Has Made It Quite Clear ... That He Has Accepted There Are Evils In This World.” In an immediate reaction to President Obama's comments at the G20 summit, Fox host Bill Hemmer suggested that the president did not declare ISIS enough of a threat, stating “if you were waiting to hear a U.S. president say it's them or us, that is not what you just heard”:

BILL HEMMER: If you were waiting to hear a U.S. president say “I feel your pain,” or if you were waiting to hear a U.S. president say “it's them or us,” that is not what you just heard. President Obama called the attacks here in Paris a setback at one point. He was asked “is it time for you to change your strategy?” More or less, he said no. “Have you underestimated the abilities of ISIS?” More or less, he said no. “Do you understand how to defeat ISIS?” His response, “this is a variation of the same question.”

President Obama has made it quite clear, in that Q & A that lasted more than 45 minutes, that he has accepted there are evils in this world and evils in places like Paris, France, and this is something that we all must face today. It's a reality in which the world we live. [sic] If you're at home wondering with your own set of anger and your own set of fears about what could happen next, you were not alone, because that's precisely what you feel here in Paris, France. And if you were waiting for clarification on your feelings through that Q & A, you weren't going to get it. The president's strategy, as stated over the weekend, continues as is. Fox News Contributor Erick Erickson: “Barack Obama Is An Enabler Of Evil.” In a November 16 column for his website, Fox News contributor Erick Erickson labeled President Obama “an enabler of evil” after the president concluded his remarks at the G20 summit in Turkey:

He is not a damn fool. The press today is battering the President over being a damn fool. He is not. He is an enabler of evil.

This is the man whose world view was shaped by an anti-American communist mentor. This is the man who has surrounded himself with anti-American academics and people who have never worked in the real world. This is the man who believes he must apologize for the United States. This is the man who supports infanticide.

President Obama sees ISIS and thinks there is really nothing that can be done because really they are just less evolved than us. He believes that Islam is 400 years behind Christianity and so is right now in their own mediaeval period and there is nothing we can do. He believes the West is ultimately getting its just desserts for the sin of colonialism. ISIS is just fair play and appropriate pay back to Western colonial powers.

President Obama enables evil because he does not see or acknowledge that evil exists. He is not foolish about evil -- he just thinks he is too smart to think it is real. He sees ISIS as a backwater. He speaks in the platitudes of “evil” because the people expect it, while he himself knows he is just going through the motions. [Erickontheradio.com, 11/16/15]
