LOUISE SCHIAVONE (GUEST HOST): It seems like Trump violates every single principle of how to run an organization successfully. First of all, it doesn't seem like he has anybody in his organization who can effectively say to him, 'Mr. Trump, don't do this. You cannot do this. This is wrong.' I mean it seems like Paul Manafort came into that organization and seemed to have some force of persuasion for a period of time. And remember Trump said that oh now he was going to be presidential and he was turning the corner, but it really doesn't seem like he has, ultimately, right?

ERIC BOEHLERT: It doesn't seem like he's changed, and there was a very interesting piece on MSNBC online yesterday saying Trump doesn't really have a campaign in any traditional sense. And they pointed out that he doesn't really have a communications team. He doesn't really have a media team. He doesn't have anyone who returns calls from reporters. Now that would be amazing if you were running for your state representative or your state senator, but the fact that he's trying to run for president of the United States without a media team, without hiring the most fundamental kind of positions. And I think your point is a good one, there doesn't seem to be anyone with their hand on the wheel. And there certainly doesn't seem to be anyone who has any experience in running national campaigns. And again, what's amazing to watch is -- and you know this is bad because the conservative media, which traditionally has been so disciplined during campaign season, they will rally around everyone. They rallied around, by November 2012 Mitt Romney was a god-like figure for them. They will unleash any attack they have to against Democrats and perceived attacks on Republicans. And you look at the conservative media right now, and it, like I said, it is just open warfare. You've got some institutions like National Review and Weekly Standard that announced a long time ago they weren't going to stand for Trump. Now we've got pundits like Erick Erickson demanding Mitch McConnell, condemning Mitch McConnell for not calling out Trump's racist claims about the judge. It is just total chaos, and we're only in the first week in June. Who knows what's going to unfold for the next 20 weeks.
