Fox & Friends Lauds Potential Trump Running Mate, Ignores His Pro-Choice Views

Fox & Friends hosts hailed potential Donald Trump running mate Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn while ignoring his pro-choice views, focusing instead on his rhetoric about immigration. Co-host Steve Doocy praised part of an interview Flynn did with ABC News where he criticized illegal immigration. However, the hosts ignored a portion of the same interview in which Flynn said that “women have to be able to choose … sort of, the right to choose” and that women “are the ones that have to make the decision because they're the ones that are going to decide to bring up that child or not.” From the July 11 edition of Fox News’ Fox & Friends: 

STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): There are a couple of things unique about General [Michael] Flynn. First of all, he is not a D.C. insider, and [Donald] Trump has said that's one of the things he would need. But he's also a Democrat, but there's also a sound bite that he had over the weekend that is making a lot of news and it sounds like Mr. -- General Flynn is kind of channeling his inner Donald Trump in this ABC interview with Martha Raddatz.

MARTHA RADDATZ: Let's talk about immigration. Let me ask you immigration. Should all undocumented immigrants be deported? 

LT. GEN. MICHAEL FLYNN: So undocumented or illegal? 

RADDATZ: Undocumented, illegal. 

FLYNN: OK, so if it's illegal, it's illegal. So --

RADDATZ: Undocumented.

FLYNN: Are they here illegally? If they're here illegally, then it's illegal. Again, back to my very first point. The rule of law in this country is probably the single biggest strategic advantage that we have above and beyond all other countries in the world and we cannot allow the rule of law to break down.

DOOCY: So ere he is kind of sticking it to Martha Raddatz. “Look, you're calling them undocumented, they're illegals in the country.”

PETE HEGSETH (CO-HOST): Oh yeah, and the people have heard that politically correct formulation for a long time.
