BILL HEMMER (CO-HOST): Kind of trendy to go after the wealthy, isn’t it? Go for the populist votes.

MELISSA FRANCIS: It's hypocritical, it's ridiculous. The estate tax hits the people who really can't afford it, it hits people who have a mom-and-pop business, who have a farm, who own real estate, who die suddenly and aren't rich, haven't made plans, don't have an attorney, so their children are then forced to sell whatever it was that was that family's precious business and give half of those proceeds to the government. I mean, the estate tax is a crime, and she's perpetuating the myth of it. It's really frustrating to me. It really upsets me.
