JOY REID (HOST): But these days, for every vaccine -- even the virtual kind -- there is an anti-vaxxer. Alex Jones of Infowars, for example, known for his conspiracy theorizing, has threatened to sue and claims Facebook's new initiatives are a CIA plot.

ALEX JONES (CLIP): Determined if it it should label a story as fake and bury it. Oh, bury it. Burying news like the communist Chinese do. Oh. This is the end of free internet. This is the new censorship, Chines style. And I'm going to sue you. I don't want to, but I have to, and I'm going to show a jury all their lies and then show what we really said and did. And show you censoring articles about people calling for Trump's death, something Snopes says isn't real. And I'm going to sue Snopes.

REID: Please sue. The discovery would be amazing. Here's the thing: as people like Alex Jones continue to peddle fictional “news” it's the burden of every actual journalist, not just social media, to cover the truth and call out lies without getting distracted by the outrageous remarks and misspellings tweeted at three in the morning from an account with 17 million followers.
