According to a new report by The Nation and The Investigative Fund, “Dobbs has relied for years on undocumented labor for the upkeep of his multimillion-dollar estates and the horses he keeps for his 22-year-old daughter, Hillary, a champion show jumper.” Yes, that Lou Dobbs--the one who made a name for himself as the anti-illegal immigrant crusader, the one who--to defend himself against accusations of bigotry--said it wasn't the “illegal alien” that was the problem, but rather the employer who employeed them. Can anyone say hypocrite?

The Nation reports that one of the undocumented workers they interviewed said that they “typically” worked around 12 hour days, with one worker saying that he was “never paid overtime.” Another worker, who claimed to have worked doing landscaping on Dobbs' property for three years without legal papers, also claimed that he worked 10 hour days and was never paid overtime. He also claimed that his employer “knew very well that the majority of us didn't have papers.”
