Ha! Suddenly Breitbart Bloggers Don't Care About Teleprompters?

Delivering her Tea Party response to the Obama's SOTU address last night, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN), did not look into the television camera while reading her speech off a teleprompter. Or at least, she didn't look into the right television camera -- the network TV camera showed Bachmann looking slightly to the right as she focused intently on the Tea Party webcast camera. This produced much online chuckling, but conservatives do no approve!

It's ironic, of course, because Obama-hating bloggers have mocked the president's use of a teleprompter for years now. He uses it correctly and usually looks into the correct camera when giving a speech. But bloggers have latched onto the idea that it's novel (and telling) that Obama uses a teleprompter.

But guess what? After Bachmann's TV debacle, bloggers like the ones who work for Andrew Breitbart, have announced teleprompters don't matter!

Behold the flip-flop [emphasis added]:

And if – for argument's sake – reading the teleprompter was the defining qualification for presidential consideration, we are screwed as a nation. So hide your kids, hide your wives. Can we move on now?

The Breitbart blogger wants to move on because it's just dopey to talk about teleprompters.

Cue the Breitbart archives search:

President Obama is a sleek, charismatic but somewhat emotionally aloof politician who can read a teleprompter like nobody's business (except when it references the military – then he's a little lost).

And:

Stewart closed the bash with some allegedly unprepared thoughts that ran 12 minutes long and sounded about as off the cuff as any of the President's TelePrompter driven speeches.

And:

Great Moments in TelePrompter History

And:

Obama depends on a teleprompter, because he wants to be sure his words are packaged and perfect.

Question: Why do Breitbart bloggers make it so easy to mock them?
