Fox's chief political anchor Bret Baier texted that he was “tired” and “pissed” following a speech former President Donald Trump gave on November 5, writing that "that speech tonight was totally heinous,” per newly uncovered evidence unveiled from Dominion Voting Systems’ lawsuit against Fox News.
Baier went on to add “There is NO evidence of fraud. None. Allegations - - stories. Twitter. Bullshit. Nothing concrete,” in a text which was previously attributed to Baier in earlier Dominion filings. He noted he was “focused on calling this race and getting ready to go on air.”
Baier’s identity as the sender of the released text messages was not initially clear, as the sender was only identified as “unknown” in Exhibit 176. Within the exhibit list at the top of a separate document, Exhibit 176 states that it contains “Group Text Message Between Brett Baier and Dan Crockett et al.” In Exhibit 176 itself, the document references the messages to include Dan Crockett, Mike Muir, and unknown, leaving one to assume from the exhibit list that the final participant is Bret Baier. Additionally, Muir also calls one of the participants “Bret” and later “BB.”
Correction (3/10/23): Baier was not referring to Trump's election night speech; he sent the text after a speech Trump gave on November 5.
