Charlie Kirk on the VP debate: “I spoke to JD last night. I was texting him all my debate advice.”

Kirk brags about his influence with JD Vance: It was “cool to be, like, a front-row seat in kinda shaping what a vice presidential person will say. Kind of awesome, to be honest. It's kinda surreal.”

CHARLIE KIRK (HOST): This was without a doubt one of the most one-sided, lopsided victories in presidential debate history. Tim Walz looked like a sad little puppy, and JD Vance did so well against those three women. It was just remarkable to see how he was able to juggle and navigate — and let's just say, there was only one good cross-examination from CBS News where it was the Hong Kong thing, which was so damning. We gotta show that. Besides that, all the questions were against JD, all of the narratives against JD — and JD, without a doubt, triumphantly won this debate. No question.

And as someone who is a friend of JD — I spoke to JD last night. I was texting him all my debate advice. I was like, you gotta do this, you gotta do that. Which actually is kinda cool to be, like, a front-row seat in kinda shaping what a vice presidential person will say. Kind of awesome, to be honest. It's kinda surreal.

BLAKE NEFF (CO-HOST): I mean, it was great. We were we were talking behind the scenes.

KIRK: I solicited all your advice.

NEFF: You were soliciting. Like, what should we tell him? What should he be prepared for? How should he phrase things? And I'm very glad that we thought seriously about it. I'm glad you sent it to him. I'm glad he listened, and I'm extremely glad that it all worked out.

KIRK: And, I mean, for example, the top-line advice was make sure you mentioned the 320,000 missing kids. Make sure you mention that she's the current VP, and don't let her off of that. Make sure you come across as compassionate. If there's a good idea that Tim Walz says, don't be afraid to say, you know, I agree with part of that, because you are the softer side of this ticket because you have the brute force of Donald Trump.
