Sean Hannity falsely claims Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez thinks Americans should stop working with no pay

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): Well now, apparently, speaking on a new talk show that's appearing, I guess launching tonight, you know, apparently [Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)] -- where did I find this? Daily Wire's reporting that she actually talks about Americans should refuse to go back to work. That's genius. And how do you expect we're to eat? 

Hannity was referring to Anand Giridharadas's show on VICE.

While Hannity in the past has left no stone unturned in describing her platform, this time he did not mention that Rep. Ocasio-Cortez has been vocal about increasing direct federal payments to workers:

I understand the idea of an “interim” patch bill, but if Congress doesn’t know when it will next convene, we need to vote on a bigger fix now.

Meanwhile, Hannity has in the past railed against the notion that “that Americans are going to be hungry,” saying “you can survive” off rice and beans.
