As I noted this morning, Milbank in today's WashPost wrote a painfully nonsensical column about how Obama had just suffered the worst week of his presidency and how his whole first term is teetering on the brink. And yes, in order to prop up that very GOP-friendly claim, Milbank had to make all sorts of absurd claims.

But here's the latest according to Gallup: Obama's job approval rating just climbed to 50 percent, which represents a five point gain over the last week.

That's right, during what Milbank claims has been Obama's worst week ever, Obama's approval ratings shot up five points.
