JAKE SHERMAN: I don't want to be a negative Nancy here but, pointedly, the secretary ofstate was asked whether he called the president a moron and he did not answer that.
JON SCOTT (CO-HOST): He did not.
SHERMAN: This is not a Washington game. This is a simple yes or no question. Did you call the man that you work for a moron, or not? There's a lot of -- There's not much gray area there. And he said he wasn't going to engage in that.So, that to me speaks volumes about what might have happened behind the scenes. I'd find it very difficult to believe -- knowing the reporters who wrote the story and knowing how good and honest they are -- I find it difficult to believe that they would make that up.
SCOTT: Yeah, but he did say that he believes the president is serving Americans who felt like they do not have a voice and so forth. I mean, I suppose you could see some kind of a meeting or an event where that kind of terminology was used but he made it quite clear that he feels pretty strongly about supporting this president.
SHERMAN: He did, he made it clear that he supports the things that he was involved in diplomatically. He said he believes the president loves America. But still, I just want to take a step back here. The fact that there are people who are either in the administration, or around the administration, or who have been in the administration who are dishing this kind of dirt on the president, and on the inner workings of the White House, really says a lot. And you think of all the people who have left the administration who might be privy to conversations like that, and it does tell you a lot about the state of this administration. That people feel like there are things that happened behind closed doors that deserve to be in the public domain.
