PARKER MOLLOY (MEDIA MATTERS FOR AMERICA): It just says that the administration essentially wants to define me out of existence, is a scary thought. So then, once I opened it up, it was even worse, because there were certain aspects in there that were just really, genuinely terrifying. Say the way that they specify “original” birth certificate, and not “revised.” And specifying that the only way you could tell was with “genetic testing,” which, I mean, it's scary. Honestly, I don't know what to do, and I tweeted out my thoughts, and they were long, and there was swearing, and I feel like that was reasonable for the occasion, but, yeah, just feeling pretty scared in general. And it's something that a lot of trans people have been warning about for a long time. It's getting so exhausting to constantly be like, “told you so,” you know? Because there's this perception that Trump is this pro-LGBT candidate, which he never really was.
